Would you attend if we had a BarCampBank Chilliwack?

I’m just putting this out there to see if there is interest. I would love to meet the CU folks I have only met online. As Ron Shevlin said, ”...only knowing someone online – and never meeting face to face – is creepy” =)

For those who rely on Google for all geographic information:

And for the record, I would LOVE to, but funding would be an issue I believe.
Caleb C.
@ Mark McSpadden – Thank you! Originally, I thought of calling it BarCampBank Vancouver for general recognition, but that wouldn’t be completely accurate as Chilliwack is about 1.25 hours drive East of the downtown Vancouver.
Brad G.
To decode Marks statement, “funding would be an issue” = Brad’s cheap.
Will there be chili or will it just be chilly? Cheesy question of the day?!
Caleb C.
@Mark – For the record, I would LOVE for you to come up.
@Brad – LOL! Chinese are notorious for being cheap and you don’t look Asian to me, so it can’t be that bad. I don’t know WHEN this will happen, so I can’t comment on the “chilly” but as for “chili” – I’ll buy the chili for all attendees AND my wife has volunteered to make one of my favs – banana cream pie. That alone is worth the trip.
Terrell M.
Caleb, can I just come up for the pie?
Caleb C.
Terrell, you can come up only if you promise to knit us something to keep us warm during these chilly winter months ;-) Srsly, just give us a few days heads up and I’ll make sure the pie is ready – it is so amazing. If you want to just drop in unannounced, you’re welcome anytime. The local Chilliwack Airport is famous for their pies and the banana cream pie comes a close second to my wife’s.

Oh and Caleb, it probably should be noted and discussed later but we’re working out some details on putting together a BarCampBank Dallas. We’re thinking May/June/July timeframe. Just FYI.
Terrell M.
Caleb, Shari and I have actually discussed a visit, so we might just take you up on that. I will travel for pie.
Caleb C.
Terrell – please do. You both are always welcome as are all our CU twitter/blogging/banktastic friends (hmm, formatting hi-lited “banktastic” – should definitely be in the dictionary, don’t you think?) I travel for pie too (when my son was 11 mos. – he took his first steps for a chocolate M&M. Just like his dad, I guess).
Brad – I told Tim about the possibility & dates of BarCampBank Dallas. He immediately said, “I would go to that!” (schedule permitting).
Matt V.
Caleb, I would totally be down for that. Only an hour or so drive for me! I was sad I couldn’t attend BarCampBankSeattle….stupid honeymoon gets in the way of everything good!
Caleb C.
Matt – sa-weet!
I so wish I had gone to BarCampBankSeattle too. As for the honeymoon – don’t let it happen again ;-)
Tim M.
Caleb – I will attend. Heck, I’ll even buy the pizza!
Caleb C.
Tim – even though I am Oriental, you speak my language!
Caleb C.
Tim made it known yesterday at lunch that BarCampBankChilliwack is one word. Sorry, for getting it wrong.
