Yes we have two IT employees and a project manager. Both IT work at admin of the banking system and development of a large in-house application (iSmart) written in Java. Most of their work is programming. Our ‘working database’ is Sybase. OS for banking platform is Linux, for everyone else Mac OS 10.4.9, and a few Windows machines that are specific to applications. We work with our switch provider, Internet banking platform provider and core banking supplier in ongoing development work. As to what kind of projects – there is a constant number but the major ones are MemberNote (mobile banking alerts) and iSmart which incorporates colour statement production from PDFs, etc. etc. etc.

We have an applications department that has 4 programmers and a manager. They pretty much write reports for our core system. Our E-Commerce department (which I’m in) has 4 employees and a manager also. Our webmaster handles all the websites for our holding company (bank and affiliates). The rest of us write back office web applications such as sales management, time & attendance, fraud management, bankruptcy management, CRM for investments & trust, plus a lot of other apps.
