We just published our first FABB Insight—reports based on what people search for and choose on FindABetterBank.com (FABB). You can sign-up to receive an email whenever we publish FABB Insights (no cost or obligation).
In this FABB Insight, we looked at searchers wanting “Student Accounts” included in their search results. Banks package no-frills checking accounts for students, but our research indicates students want accounts with lots of bells and whistles. For example, 62% of student searchers chose an interest-bearing checking account.

This is fantastic information. Despite students showing they are more savvy about features bundled with bank accounts I’m really surprised that Unlimited check writing is so high given their demand for online, telephone and email interactions.
Was unlimited Check Writing a stand alone option from other features or chosen automatically with something else?

Hi Marshall,
Unlimited Check Writing was pre-set as “Don’t Care” so 62% of students actively added it to their feature preference list.
