Visa taps Facebook users
Lisa R. shared 3 months ago
“Card network Visa has launched a social networking application for small business owners on Facebook and is paying $2 million to advertise the service on the site.
The Visa Business Network, which has been designed specifically for Facebook, is billed as a one-stop resource for small business owners. Visa says the application has been developed to enable small businesses to connect and network with other companies, manage their operations more effectively and target new business.”

I just saw this article on the Payments News Twitter stream and added my own personal business to the network. After clicking on the Visa Business Network logo and getting signed up, Visa has provided a TON of content for small businesses. Plus, you can use the search feature to look up other small businesses in your area, by keyword or any other way you want to search.
Is this something that smaller community banks and credit unions could take advantage of? I’m not quite sure yet, but maybe we’ll get someone to test it out. ;)

Mike,
I added the Visa Business Network to the Banktastic Page on Facebook just to see how it functioned. I, like you, hope that some smaller banks & CUs look into it.
Hopefully you’ll even find use in it with your own personal business!
