Wells Fargo First to Offer Personal Online Safe
Lisa R. shared 3 months ago
Wells Fargo announced today their online safe for personal use by retail customers. This online safe will be able to hold popular file types (audio, video, Word, PDF, etc) with the ability to use folders to organize your data. This also helps to push their paperless statement services since customers would be able to store their online statements in the safe as well.

I definitely hadn’t seen this coming. Props to WF to getting it done though. As more of our lives and life details transfer online, this does seem like a logical step. It also provides an easy access solution for customers who have elected to recieve electronic statements instead of paper. Now you can store all of those statements online in a safe, secure storage space instead of saving them to your hard drive or printing them out yourself and filing the paper copy.
This product seems like an evolution of the physical safe deposit box and could be something that other banks and credit unions will want to start looking into. I wonder if WF will think about selling the software to others?
